Everyone loves a Bargain!

Little Red Turtle's Customers on Demand service is a simple system that allows you to request special offers to be sent to your phone by SMS. The purpose of the system is to make it easy for you to get great last-minute offers from businesses that you want to deal with.

As an example, your favourite restaurant might have a few empty tables this evening, so in the afternoon you might receive a special offer to come in tonight. This rewards you with a discount or other special value for being a customer and helps the restaurant fill those quiet times. It's a classic win-win situation.

You are in complete control. Only you can subscribe for offers by sending an SMS from your phone, and you can cancel all future offers at any time.

We don’t charge you anything for the service. Receiving offers is always totally free of charge. Sending the subscription message (and the STOP request) will incur a single, local SMS charge from your phone company. Most people these days have significant SMS caps on their phone plans, so chances are these will actually cost you nothing, but depending on your phone plan, you may be charged for a single, local SMS message.

Little Red Turtle specialises in using SMS messages to bring businesses in closer communication with their customers. We are not just "yet another" SMS campaign provider – in fact, we don’t do SMS campaigns at all.

Our systems are based around establishing communications between a business and its existing customers, or potential customers, who express a specific interest in its product or service.

Using our exclusive, state-of-the-art software, we provide a system that lets businesses establish and promote an ongoing relationship with their customers.

For customers, Little Red Turtle gives you easy and convenient access to information and special offers that you want, when and where you want it. By using SMS, the information or offer is stored on your phone, to let you access it at your convenience.

Unsubscribe

All our SMS systems allow you to unsubscribe at any time, simply, immediately and with no questions asked.

How do I unsubscribe?

If you are subscribed to offers from a single business, just reply with the word "STOP" to any message (or send that word to the same number you used to start the subscription, 0467 777 888).

If you have subscribed to offers from more than one business, you can send the word "STOP" followed by any one code to unsubscribe individually, or "STOP ALL" to immediately stop all subscriptions.

If you don't remember the individual codes, just send 'STOP' on its own and we'll send you an SMS with a list.

You can only unsubscribe by sending an SMS from the phone you used to subscribe in the first place. This is to prevent others from unsubscribing you without your consent. If for whatever reason you can't use your mobile, contact us and we'll sort it out for you,

We don't charge you anything for this, but every SMS you send will count towards your mobile plan's limits or charges.

Have you had a bad experience?

At Little Red Turtle, we hate spam as much as you do. We have specific agreements with all our customers that they will honour both the letter and the spirit of the law in dealing with their customers and the public. Our aim is to promote a mutually beneficial exchange and communication between individuals and organisations they want to do business with.

Our systems are hosted separately from our web site for maximum security. We use Google App Engine to host our applications, thereby leveraging the vast scalability and reliability of the same servers and databases that power Google itself.

Note that the application’s internet address, or “domain”, will end in “appspot.com”. This allows us to encrypt your sensitive data as it travels to and from our servers, ensuring that it is impossible for anyone to intercept it. You will notice that your browser will show the secure “padlock” or equivalent indicator on that login page to confirm that all communications are protected by SSL encryption.

We may occasionally hire other companies to provide services on our behalf, including but not limited to handling customer support enquiries, processing transactions or customer freight shipping. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the service. Little Red Turtle takes reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information.

Use of your personal information

For each visitor to reach the site, we specifically collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing the Site, page access times and referring website address. This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalised content to you while you are at this site.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will use for these new purposes only, data collected from the time of the policy change forward will adhere to our updated practices.

Security Policy

The Little Red Turtle web site does not contain or collect sensitive data so no encryption is used. This means that all information that it contains is visible to everyone.

The Contact Us form generates an email to our offices. Email is inherently not secure and you should not use that form (or any email system) to convey any sensitive information.

The Little Red Turtle applications (such as the Customers on Demand system) use industry-standard secure and encrypted communication channels. All data is stored securely and passwords are never stored at all. (For the technically inclined, we only store a salted and peppered hash for authentication in our systems, which is why we can't tell you your password.)

All payments are made through the Paypal online gateway. Your credit card details are never visible to us and all transactions are encrypted. We only collect sufficient information to enable us to issue you with a valid Tax Invoice and to contact you for support and account maintenance reasons.

Refund Policy

Little Red Turtle does not believe in lock-in contracts. We want you to be delighted with our service and happy to be our customer.

As we base our forward commitments on orders and subscriptions received, we incur financial liabilities that persist even if you should decide to cancel. For that reason, we are unable to issue refunds.

However, you can cancel your subscription at any time, by either emailing us or, preferably, by using the Paypal web site.
